Here’s a list of Fortune’s most admired companies, a link to their corporate career center and their Google ranking when searching "[company] jobs."

1. Dell jobs – No. 1
2. General Electric jobs – No. 1
3. Starbucks jobs – Fails to make Top 1,000 in US, but an I hate Starbucks site ranks No. 151.
4. Wal-Mart jobs – No. 13
5. Southwest Airlines jobs – No. 1
6. FedEx jobs – No. 1
7. Berkshire Hathaway (lets use Geico jobs for our example) – No. 8
8. Microsoft jobs – No. 1
9. Johnson & Johnson jobs – No. 1
10. Procter & Gamble jobs – No. 1

No surprise (or maybe it is a surprise considering it’s not 100 percent) that 70 percent of them have No. 1 placement when searching Google. (What’s up with Starbucks and Wal-Mart? Yikes!)

However, they’re all very prominent brands. How does your company rank for its own jobs? Visit Google to find out. If you’re not No. 1, you certainly should be? And if not, who is? A competitor perhaps?

And don’t discount the number of people who are searching for jobs directly at your company. You’d probably be surprised. To find out how many people are searching for jobs using your company name as a keyword, feel free to use the free keyword tool at HRSEO.com.
