There’s always been a lot of debate in the new media community as to where is the best place to put advertising on a Web page.

The latest analysis? Well, never fear, Google is here.

Via quite a bit of research, as I understand it, Google has done a lot of work discovering the best spots for advertising.

See the image above. The darker, the better.

For online recruitment purposes, you’ll want to make sure your employment links and/or any visual promoting jobs is in one of these hot zones for best results.

An interesting sidenote is that Google’s own site doesn’t reflect online advertising in the hot zones. While being relegated to less trafficked areas of a Web page, it’s Google’s organic results that lie in the best areas.
