I wrote an entry awhile back on a "company" called Grey Marketing Team.
Grey Marketing Team is a fake company listing fake jobs on Monster, HotJobs and who-knows-who-else. The job is a scam and apparently people are getting screwed big time, even though the listing was deleted from aforementioned job sites after only being up a short time.
In tracking visits to my blog, I’m getting bombarded from people searching "Grey Marketing Team" on Google.
Comments have been left from people who responded to the ad and are scared about getting burned, if they haven’t been scorched already.
The Internet is a wonderful invention. But with everything good, there is evil. Here’s to hoping Grey Marketing Team doesn’t scam anyone else.

June 7th, 2005 at 6:08 pm
I interviewed with grey marketing. They seemed legit and all the people their are quite friendly.
June 8th, 2005 at 12:15 pm
Grey Marketing Team does not exist and has never existed. Give it up, “Walter.”
June 15th, 2005 at 7:23 pm
Why do u say Grey Marketing Team does not exist? What is the scam? I never saw their post on Monster. I registere thorugh their webpage, but never heard back from them. How can that be a scam?
June 20th, 2005 at 3:32 pm
I rec’d an e-mail from Kray Group talking about their Online Researcher position which pays $40/hr part time or full time. I was a bit skeptical so I did a little research. The address listed on their website is actually the address of a company called Marketing Incentives. I called this company and the receptionist stated that she has had numerous calls for Kray Group but has never heard of them. Another odd thing about the Kray Group is that their phone number is not listed on their website. If there is this much confusion concerning this company, then there obviously must be some catch. Go with your instincts and stay away.
June 23rd, 2005 at 8:31 pm
Thank you for posting this information. I, too, received this email. The two things that alerted me were the coding mistakes (the code was not hidden) and the grammar errors on their site and within their email. If they are supposed to be a company who offers online research, they need to look at their own site first for professionalism; or in this case, lack thereof.
June 24th, 2005 at 7:32 pm
I am curious, what is the scam that Kray Group is trying to pull ? They already have access to your contact information via your online resume.
June 25th, 2005 at 8:21 pm
I work for Kray Group, they are an AWSOME company!
June 27th, 2005 at 9:07 am
yes, there is something definately wrong with the Kray Group since if you will notice that after filling out their application , you will recieve subsequent messages from them to apply again. I’d love to get my bare hands on folks like this!!!
June 28th, 2005 at 11:16 am
Kray Group sent me an email to. I cant find any information for them anywhere other than their own site. I also tried sending Bill an email- the guy who posted above who said he works for Kray Group and the address is unavailable. What kind of scam is it? Does anyone know?
June 28th, 2005 at 12:28 pm
I was considering doing some outside work while my new enterprise goes through it’s growing pains. My brother’s friend had mentioned this Kray Group and we checked out their site.
I looked for the telltale scam signs that they wanted money (”application fee”, etc.). But they claim that no money is required.
So I just found this blog while reasearching them and will bookmark it in the event others learn more. I’m not giving them my resume and jumping through a bunch of hoops if it’s all a scam.
And there is no contact phone number on their site.
June 28th, 2005 at 3:04 pm
I to received the electronic mail and replied - sent my resume and even filled out the online survey - what a sucker I am. If anyone has anymore information about this scam - please share.
June 28th, 2005 at 3:07 pm
I got the same email from the KRAY TEAM (not Group). I believe it was some sort of scam to get your personal information, because they did NOT get my resume off Monster, because my resume is not listed with the email address they contacted me! If you Google Kray Team, you don’t get anything related to them other than this blog. Also, the website does not list a phone number as someone else pointed out… the website they gave me was http://www.krayteam.com.
June 28th, 2005 at 3:15 pm
ALSO, Check out what networksolutions.com shows about them - they just created krayteam.com on June 20th:

I too got the email and sent my resume. What kind of scam do you think it is? When I got the email I thought..geez how lucky can I get… I feel dumb, now!
June 28th, 2005 at 4:00 pm
I saw this on another board, but it seems the scam is…when you look at the diferent “Research categories” that you want to do and you e-mail them in your cover letter, krayteam will sell that information to the categories that you were interested in AND they will have your info (phone number, e-mail, home address.)
June 28th, 2005 at 7:32 pm
The Grey Marketing (William Craven)are running similar employment scams as Corbin Watson (www.corbinwatson.com), Kray group (kraygoup.com) and Palmer Employment (palmeremployment.com). They are all sites that were created in June with identical websites. I found that there are hundreds and hundreds of jop postings on the internet for all three “companies”. I have been in the process of contacting the websites (craigslist, employment guide, jammin jobs) that are posting false job openings from these groups - but little is being done to remove them. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC. I encourage everyone to File a complaint with the FTC, contact the web administrator of any employment agency to remove any postings you see. Who knows what these creeps are up to but the fake job postings need to stop. Please post any other ideas to help get these fake companies off the internet.
June 28th, 2005 at 8:06 pm
I recieved a email from the Kray Group, stating exactly what many of you have mentioned. I have not heard from anyone. The person who emailed me was Andrew Thomas. I find it interesting that when I tried to go through the directory in Chicago Illonois to find a listing there was none. I don’t know what they are trying to accomplish. Unless these individuals are using our resumes for personal gain. My next thought was to contact the better business bureau to have someone look into the situation. I have tried to contact the company like some of you, but has lead to a dead end. What I find more interesting there is not a listing for the Kray Group at 1 Magnificant Blvd, no number. This has been a life lesson for me.
June 29th, 2005 at 9:17 am
I called 1800 876 7060 to find out more about the Kray Team and no fraud is on record as of yet but if anyone can help then please call.

Coastalmanagementweb.com looks as if it is in the business of selling leads. They specialize in selling leads for franchises, business opportunities, adult education, stocks/investment and mortgages. This all should sound familiar to anyone who applied for a job at the kray group. Below is a list of contact info for coastalmanagement.

Andrew Thomas sent me an email as well for an Online Research position for the Kray Group. I went to the BBB website and it seems they have tried to acquire info on this company but according to the building management of the address listed, there is no company by that name in the building.
I kind of got excited about the deal but it def. seems “too good too be true”. I also received emails from Corbin Watson & Palmer.
These companies really stink, clogging up your Inbox especially when you’re job searching and looking for a “real job”.
If anyone finds out more info please update us.
One more thing, Bill who said it was an awesome company to work for, his email address is billveek123@hotmial.com….hotmial.com???that’s fishy in it’s self.
June 29th, 2005 at 6:12 pm
The Bill Veek (sic) name seems to be to be a wink and nod at the scam. Bill Veeck used to own the Chicago White Sox and was famous for pulling wild PR stunts.
He was a sideshow kind of guy, just like these scam artists.
June 29th, 2005 at 11:37 pm
Thanks for the information on Coastal Management - The company will be turned to the local FBI office in Memphis tomorrow morning. My friend is the head legal counsel for the FBI office here. I will let everyone know where this goes. This should be fun. His name is George Bolds if anyone wants to provide any additional information to him with regards to these guys.
July 5th, 2005 at 11:42 am
If either of the people that say they work for, or believe this to be a good company, would provide some proof and details, that would be appreciated.
I also saw the posts on scam.com and on here and I am very upset with all this.
July 6th, 2005 at 3:12 pm
I am very glad that I found this blog before sending ANY of my personal information to this said “company”. Extremely disheartening for a real downtrodden job seeker in a recovering economy. Thanks to Derek for your action with this, I can’t wait to hear what happens! I sent emails to everyone at Coastal Management, if I get something, i’ll share.
July 6th, 2005 at 10:39 pm
Wow! I also got the Kray Group e-mail. Thanks for doing all the leg work folks! I guess I will delete my cover letter and move on. thanks again.
July 8th, 2005 at 10:21 am
I have also ran accross these companies. One additional step that can be taken. Registrants like Go Daddy can also help eliminate false web sites. Contact them if you think a web site is a scam. But, be ready to send proof that web sites are not legit and be persistent.
July 8th, 2005 at 1:53 pm
I wonder if this isnt just a fancy method of trying to get us to confirm our email addresses so that they can spam us with more email. Plus once they have our personal info the company can use the info to target us with specific junk mail.
July 10th, 2005 at 9:01 pm
crap! I sent my resume and cover to them too. I don’t know what good it will do them as they don’t have my social and didn’t ask for it either. They also don’t have any numbers except a cell and an address that can’t be googled or map quested. Besides, why would anyone want to be me? Seems like someone has gone to a great deal of trouble for nothing. However, might want to change email addresses.
July 12th, 2005 at 11:33 am
I just got an e-mail from a person named David Bryant for an Advertising Department Assistant position. The website they wanted me to visit is palmercareersonline.com. I assume this is the same as Palmer employment? Am I wrong here?
July 12th, 2005 at 11:48 am
shoot. I knew it was too good to be true. I should have researched it further but I thought since I didn’t give a ssn it wouldn’t kill me to try. I tried to find the business in chicago through mapquest and it doesn’t exist. Thank goodness I ran across this site before losing my mind with worry. Thanks!
July 12th, 2005 at 8:54 pm
Ok, so, what possible deal could they be up to? They waste your time, but ask for no money, the only thing scammed was your information freely given.
1. Conspiracy theory: They work for the New World Order so it can do it’s marketing properly.
2. They may be setting up a database for contacts so they can sell their employment services to companies that need you.
3. Generate some type of Artificial Intelligence database to see what type of qualifications generate what type of responses (especially that part on their website about how much you made last year)? Other use of AI?
– Maybe they’re part of the IRS and are trying to get your information to prosecute you, or to develop parameters of how much someone in your line of work makes per year. Police can lie to you to get you to give your info (or DNA) freely and without recourse.
4. They are setting up an outsourcing company in India to do your job at a fraction of the cost. They want to know what quality person would do a job for how much money, based on *your* qualifications.
July 12th, 2005 at 9:00 pm
Oh, yeah, if #1, the guys in the Black Helicopters will land by your home for the “interview”.
And, perhaps they’re testing the effectiveness of various e-marketing methods.
July 13th, 2005 at 9:33 am
Add me to the list of folks who applied without checking first. Thought it would provide a cushion while I work at starting my own business. Someone needs to find these clowns and put them through a bit of grief, legally and financially, to teach them a lesson. Thanks for doing the legwork I should have done in the beginning…I’ll definitely be more careful going forward. Hope the FBI can pin something on them.
July 13th, 2005 at 9:18 pm
I am an idiot twice over..received and email from Andrew Thomas from Kray Group and one from the Palmer Employment. Sent resumes to both before checking them out. Actually thought they had gotten my resume off of Monster.com.
July 14th, 2005 at 2:03 am
hello there. my alias is laureus and i work in the backlines of a financial institution. i read through all your posts and i noticed that someone posted that the “group” (or any of those other companies/sites) didn’t have their social security #.
don’t mean to shock anyone, but it doesn’t matter if you don’t give out ALL of ur personal info. as long as they have the info on your cover letter or resume (or simply one of the following: name, address/ general location OR telephone #), anyone could find ur social security # in about 2 seconds using any variety of legal databases.
where i work, its called “skiptracing”.
always double & triple check any company that you submit any kind of personal info to (otherwise, it could result in some major cases of identity theft.) if you look on the net, there’s a whole load of websites that offer free skiptracing tools to verify the legitimacy of the companies offering the job or product.
(another technique to verify authenticity… which also requires more time… is to make up a temp email address hotmail, yahoo or etc…they usually expire after 30 days of no usage…and submit fake information. almost like creating a fake identity. make sure that the info u submit sonuds as legit as possible & then wait to see if u get a professional response or not.)
July 14th, 2005 at 12:13 pm
I am also one who applied to the job without checking and didn’t start checking until I did not get a response. I am very downtrodden as well. It’s hard anymore to tell what’s real and what’s not. My resume was posted blind on Monster.com but I freely gave my contact information. Grasping at straws - and I actually do have a legit PT research position. I will be interested to see how the FBI thing plays out.
July 18th, 2005 at 2:53 pm

Here’s more interresting info I found on this scam:
LaJenuesse.com is definitely another Grey Marketing site, like the other ones.
It isn’t even the correct spelling! It should be LaJeunesse.com (from the French for “youth”). Created on 14th June 2005, so the domain is basically a month old.
The “About us” page is copied from http://www.packagingdigest.com/articles/200411/36.php but crucially is for a genuine company with a similar name. Really, this is just copy-and-paste filler.
This site is hosted on 69.28.72.19 along with another slew of sites:

Googling the address comes up with this web page: http://www.klaasdevriesjr.nl/k-file…rock_a_scam.htm
That indicates that “A D” is “Alec Defrawy” - and looking at the sites listed, you can see that there’s a very similar modus operandi here.
Now, Google for “Alec Defrawy” and you get a HUGE number of very interesting results, this first of which is this one
In fact, the whole easybackgroundcheck.com seems to be about him, indicating that his most recent pseudonym is “Allen Madison” and amongst other things he started a site called “onemanagementgroup.com”.. shucks, that sounds awful familiar to be. Ah.. it’s on the same server as greymarketingteam.com
And have a look at their report here: http://www.easybackgroundcheck.com/…ementgroup.html - that looks *awfully* familiar doesn’t it.
Soo…. this is most likely the work of known criminal scammer “Allen Madison” / “Alec Defrawy” / “Ayman El-Difrawi”. Lots of details on that site.

re: the scam for KRAY TEAM/GROUP is:
When you go to http://www.krayteam.com/
and hit their ‘contact us’ tab, fill out the info. and hit “submit” your computer tries to install a program that uses YOUR email addresses to send out SPAM.
For all of these fraudulent “businesses” just go to http://www.bbb.com, the Better Business Bureau, and file a complaint, it takes less then 10 minutes.

Phew….
I all most got taken on this one. I too received an e-mail from dbryant@palmercareersonline.com David Bryant stating he had an “Advertising Department Assistant” position from a “national firm with an office in your local area” paying a “Starting Salary of $49,700″. This seemed to be a dream come true especially after 14mo. of no prospects and hundreds of resumes sent out plus the salary seemed right for my new MBA degree w/little experience.
As this came through my Bulk Mail I was a bit concerned plus not to mention the only place I have my yahoo.com email posted is on http://www.columbusjobs.com. Thank you to whom ever started this Blog!
http://www.palmercareersonline.com Needs to be shut down I bet they are steeling identities for who knows what purposes?
Beware out there and better luck to all job searchers!

i thought their response was very fast, not having done this before, didn’t know how long a real or fake response would take. thanks for educating me on how to better search for a real job. would like to know what if anything will happen to these guys.
July 27th, 2005 at 1:32 am
I just received and email from Phil Meyers at palmercareersonline.com.
I found this blog when I did some research on this company. Thanks for the information so I don’t waste my time. I found it a bit strange to recieve this email after business hours.
July 27th, 2005 at 8:12 am
I received emails from Palmer Careers as it were from a David Bryant twice to apply for the same position and from a Phil Myers just this morning to apply for any position and they would get back to me after reviewing my resume. I have never heard a thing back from either of them. There is no way to contact them other than email and when I did that I still never even received a response. I also attempted to send an email to their other so called offices in New York, London and Tokyo, but it was returned with the email error saying it could not be delivered. It’s a scam folks! especially with no phone number or address in Chicago where they can be reached.
July 27th, 2005 at 8:43 pm
Folks
thanks for the info.
I too got email from Palmeronline …
sounded too good to be true….
where can I go to file a fraud complain on these folks and shut them down?
July 27th, 2005 at 11:52 pm
i have two kids and im a single parent i dont appreciate the waste of my time i got kids to support all alone if anyone has a real job contact me asap i have a resume online thanks dont let them get away with this
July 28th, 2005 at 11:46 am
For those of you who don’t know what the scam is, these people only have your email address, for starters. They give no other personal information in their emails that would indicate that they actually have a resume of yours on file. (At least in the emails I’ve received, they didn’t even address me by name.) What they do is first verify that your email address is active by getting your response. Then, as a bonus, they’ve tricked you into giving them a whole bunch of other personal information. They can compile and eventually sell this information. Basically what they are is a primitive form of spyware that you manually help along by answering them. (Just when you thought spyware was too hi-tech to avoid, now they’ve got us voluntarily spying on ourselves.) Thankfully, I decided to research this as I was at one of their websites, 2 seconds away from filling out their form. Oh, by the way…I Googled some of the text of their ‘company profile’, and - sure enough - two other bogus companies came up (CareersOnline.com and Metro Staffing).
July 30th, 2005 at 8:32 pm
I was mislead. Imagine trying to re-enter the job market and a great local company is looking for someone like me. I thought the local position was too good to be true. Today, when I googled Palmercareersonline., this website popped up. I can’t believe I fell for this. What will happen to my personal information? Will someone scam me. I feel so violated!
August 3rd, 2005 at 6:36 pm
Sorry I just sifted threw all this stuff but I got an e-mail from http://www.palmercareers.com too but it didnt come threw my bulk mail are youguys saying their all fraud?
August 4th, 2005 at 3:04 pm
I rec’d an e-mail from Andrew Thomas and I after not being able to send a reply e-mail to thank him, I began to investigate further and found out the same as the rest of you. I have reported him (The Kray Team) to the FBI via the FBI website.
August 15th, 2005 at 1:53 am
wow i just got an offer from LaJenuesse, and i decided to check online to find out if the company was for real or not but thanks to you guys I found out their game before it was too late.
August 18th, 2005 at 4:43 am
This post is quite long so forgive me if I touch on subjects that have been put to bed… I received email from Andrew Thomas for the Kray Team back in June. Needing the money, I did (minimal) research in the catagories they requested. Like all of you, I found nothing on-line that confirmed the existance of the Kray Team, but in a desperate cry for income I decided to shoot a Readers Digest version of my resume to them. As of this date (8.16.05) the email bounced back as undeliverable; No such user… just further proof that this was an attempt at capturing information from ALL of us. I’m just glad I waited long enough that they DIDN’T get MY information. P.S. Bob’s Bank and Trust needs you to update your account information immediately !!!!!
August 26th, 2005 at 12:04 am
Spinning the broken record apparently…I got the http://www.lajeunessecosmetics.com email that tantalized with too good to be true pay, etc. What gets me the most is that it came from Monster’s mail routing service. That’s what really bugs me. It’s bad enough Monster is bogged down with adcrap, but now it apparently is getting lazy with filtering out the phonies. I looked all over their site for some kind of scam reporter link to no avail. After finally getting in touch with them - I was given a forwarding address
siteabuse@monster.com and told that they “are reviewing the problem”. To my naive ears this smacks of negligence. Specifically, being aware of the potential and the existence of fraud being promulgated under their auspices, yet keeping mum.
August 31st, 2005 at 4:41 pm
What do you know this time it came through Monster.com. This is a second wonderful job offer (wink wink knod knod) but from a different company, LaJenuesse Cosmetics.
I just received an e-mail form a John Moore at LaJenuesse of Beverly Hills. Oh, and the position is just too good to be true once again! These SOB’s need to be hung out to dry! I’m getting tired of their “great job” BS! I also reported them to Monster.com from tth e-mail address provided by Claude.
August 31st, 2005 at 4:51 pm
More of the same. I’ve spent almost 4 fruitless months looking for work that pays over $10 an hour here in Dubya’s “jobless recovery”, and this type of scam (courtesy of Monster) is truly bogus.
“I recently found your resume online and feel you may be qualified for
our Advertising Director position.
LaJeunesse is the hottest new cosmetic line…”
Thanks to Google I found out (here) about it BEFORE I wasted my time. Thanks guys. Back to the job search.
September 7th, 2005 at 1:25 pm
Thank goodness I sent my resume and cover letter to these people (Kray Team), but it bounced back. Therefore, I searched google and found all of your comments. I feel fortunate the email was returned.
September 13th, 2005 at 4:37 pm
OK there looks to be another Grey Marketing scam. I just received the following:
“I recently saw the resume you have posted online. I feel you may be qualified for an accounting position we are currently trying to fill.
Our company is Princeton Consulting Affiliates. We provide small to mid-sized companies with advertising, marketing, technical, and accounting services.

http://www.secureapplication100.com/index.cfm?app=100
Fill out the online application and I will be in touch to schedule an interview.
Regards,
Jeff Reston
Regional Director
Princeton Consulting Affiliates”
When the above link is clicked it takes you to what looks to be the Grey Marketing typical vague application sheet.
If someone could do the research on Princeton Consulting Affiliates I think Grey Marketing is behind it.
September 13th, 2005 at 8:27 pm
I also recently received a letter from lajeunesse cosmetics for executive administravit assistant…i applied (der) chekd out their webpage…went bak in the next couple of days& the page is down. so i guess i fell for it too.. hope we catch these a$$e$
September 20th, 2005 at 1:42 pm
Catching this scum may be a hard thing to do. I heard through the grapevine (by a usually very reliable source) following: This operation is most certainly funded by Cort Randell. Him and Alec are tied at the hip. Cort is the money man. Very powerful. Goes to private prayer sessions with George Bush, that’s how protected he and ultimately Alec are.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22cort+randell
September 24th, 2005 at 4:26 pm
While you’re checking… please also look for Princeton Group. I also just received a very similar e-mail from Jeff Reston for a customer service position. Only a few minor changes, but basically the exact letter with an “apply” button. No other contact information since this is a “don’t call us, we’ll call you” offer. Even the e-mail address that made it through my spam filter looks bogus. “Jeff Reston”
September 25th, 2005 at 5:22 pm
I, too, have received two e-mails from Jeff Reston with Princeton..the first e-mail referred to the company name as Princeton Consulting Affiliates (PCA) and the second time it was Princeton Group (PG). Again, both were from Reston with the same position, big money…everything sounded too good to be true.
September 26th, 2005 at 12:57 am
I received an e-mial pertaining to this princeton group thing as well.Very bogus e-mail,and very scarry to know that if you post your resume online for only legitamate companies to view, that these scammers can have access to all of your resume information as well. There is nothing I can find legitamite about this company, nor any trace of it.Besides,if I had an online resume, why would I need to fill out another resume on thier site.Another question that baffles me,is that towards the bottom of the e-mail,it says “to unsubscribe, click her”.I never subscribed to anything.Funny isn’t it.
September 26th, 2005 at 5:08 pm
This is a scam. For information about Princeton, see the below link.
http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=5781
and it sounded soo good…
September 26th, 2005 at 9:32 pm
Thanks for the link, Matt. Today, I got the best offer yet…the Ebay job with Dave Mason that pays $1500 per week plus a percentage. Even Jeff Reston’s didn’t offer that much. I think I will pass and head over to Nigeria to collect the millions waiting for me there.
September 28th, 2005 at 11:07 am
I also received an email from Jeff Reston on the 26th. I sent all my info to them and before I did I also tried to find info on the company. It took alot of work to find a web site for the company. To bad it did sound good, a little to good thou. If there is ever a class action suit there sure is a lot of us, I hope we get the chance to have one.
September 29th, 2005 at 10:05 am
It looks like I get the newest scams from good old Grey. Here is the latest:
Hello,
I manage a company that runs various websites and posting boards. I recently viewed your resume online and feel you may be qualified as a moderator for our newest posting site (To be launched October 1, 2005). We are looking for 15 moderators from various walks of life, which would bring a broad prospective to our forum.
The site is called http://www.employernewswire.com and is designed for employees to post comments about working conditions at their companies. You may view the site at http://www.employernewswire.com (currently in it’s beta form), but to apply for the position you should click the link at the bottom of the page and use the online application. Do Not attempt to apply through the actual forum.
The moderator position is a part time position. As a moderator you would log in and view new posts to the site. Your responsibility would be to make sure all new posts meet the guidelines of the posting board. These guidelines include but are not limited to:
* No Flaming
* No Commercial Solicitations
* No indecent language
We do not limit free speech, nor do we try to influence the content of discussions on our site, however we want to make sure that all members are following proper posting rules and etiquette. As a moderator your job would be to remove any commercial links, delete blatant violations, ban repeat offenders and warn members that may be committing minor infractions.
In addition as a moderator you are free to make comments about posts, but we discourage our moderators from starting threads.
We pay moderators $25/hr. Your time is tracked by our login function. You are able to work from any computer and at any time. You are limited to 20 hours per week initially, but after 60 - 90 days we may increase your approved hours to 40 per week.
To apply for the position, please click the link below and I will be in touch with you after reviewing your application.
Sincerely,
Morris Paulman
The Pres!
Link has the same Apply page as the rest of the scams, go figure.
September 30th, 2005 at 12:58 pm
Hello everyone.
I also received the posting from “Morris Paulman The Pres!” of http://www.employernewswire.com. I did fill in the App. for the position after looking at their website (Unfortunately). It seems that all of these Co. are affiliated some how. It seems the only info that you really can find is in the form of forums, with people discussing as to whether they are legit or not. It seems that hundreds if not thousands of people has received one of these e-mails.
As for all of those who believe that there is nothing they really can do with the info that they collect, (that is all they really need). If by chance they have people in legit positions like insurance agencies, financial agencies, mortgage Co. and the like, and have access to the office computers they will be able to pull up pretty much everything that they need on you. I had my own Insurance agency and all I needed was Name & Address. From there I could pull up a BMV report and receive everything from SSN, all individuals living in the home who are drivers and there info (spouse, children ex.) how many accidents, VIN#, Currant Carrier ex. You get the picture. After collecting that info I then could pull up your credit report.
Now I am not saying this is what is going on, but please start to be aware of all your accounts transactions and see who has been looking at your credit report.
October 2nd, 2005 at 1:05 pm
Damn. I sent my info to the Princeton Group already… too bad it’s a scam, I would have liked that job…
October 5th, 2005 at 6:43 pm
And there is a new phishing for hard leads scam from the same gang coming up!

Early warning on new Defrawy scams to come, provided by researcher Mikeflowtech on scam.com

If this does not prevent it, most likely next scam is going to be:
Search For My Business http://www.searchformybusiness.com
October 14th, 2005 at 3:56 pm
A new brand site has appeared, fully devoted to informing the public and authorities about the Defrawy scams. The site’s owner is gathering evidence to present to the authorities and cause to eventually bring the gang of scammers to justice.
I recommend any victim who applied to the fake job offers should fill in the short anonymous (only IP logged) survey on http://www.thedefrawyscams.com
November 1st, 2005 at 1:37 pm
I created this website so that everyone who has been scammed can come together to fight him in court. We need everyone I have been personally scammed myself and it is time to put this guy away for a long time. We need lawyers and your personal story so that we can take it into the federal court house and tell the judge that this guy is scum. The president is talking about Terrorism well who says he is not one of them. We need to stop this guy NOW…
March 8th, 2006 at 8:23 am
im sooo glad i saw this site. someone was posting about http://www.krayteam.com in guild wars(its a videogame). they wouldve got me too if it wasnt for this site. thanks so much whoever thought of this

Grey Marketing Team Job Scam
Do you have a resume posted online? Did you receive an email from Grey Marketing Team promising a high paying job? instead of a job, you may just be getting a credit card fraud.
Here’s how this scam works: A “recruiter” or “executive” from a company called Grey Marketing (not to be confused with a legitimate company name Grey Direct Marketing, whose name they are clearly trying to use) may e-mail about a great position for which they feel you are qualified.
The offer may seem just a little too good. The scammer is trying appeal to you but also trying not to appear to be absurd. But if you look for these telltale warning signs, you’ll be able to respond properly:
* The offer seems unbelievably good, like doubling your salary,
* Key information is missing, such as location of the job, contact phone number (what company EVER only allows response by email? Scammers, of course!)
* And key information is present, that normally isn’t, like a specific salary (again,, what company ever makes an offer before they have even interviewed a candidate?)
* Very little information about the company is present via a Google search;
* And the usual scammer’s poor grammar and spelling
* Run a background search on the owners/managers.
