Pretty much every job board under the sun utilizes Google’s pay-per-click advertising solution. However, until now, there has been no evidence of the vertical job search sites following suit.

Oodle’s broken the mold by advertising (see image). Promotion on this level is a significant cost – especially for a free service.

Makes you wonder how much longer they’ll be able to support the "free" part of that mission.

In contrast, WorkZoo, Indeed, and SimplyHired have done a nice job of creating a site architecture that’s search engine-friendly on an organic level, which I think is a much better strategy in the long-run, particularly to keep marketing costs low to zero.
