I was recently interviewed and quoted in a story about blogging entitled Blogs: Opportunities and Risks for HR.

A large percentage of HR pros have no idea what a blog is, so it’s nice to see stories start popping up in trade pubs bringing blogs to the human resources forefront.

Mandatory is the fact that HR needs to get a handle on the implications and standards of employees blogging about their employer. Loose lips sink ships – especially when blogging to the world – and can certainly make a corporation’s life challenging.

Less attention in general goes to blogging as a recruiting tool, but employers who leverage this technology to get in front of top talent and build relationships with them will have a huge advantage over their competition.
