If you’ve seen Mel Gibson’s Braveheart, you might remember the line, "The problem with Scotland is that it’s full of Scots," or something like that.

When writing about online recruitment topics, I sometimes think, "The problem with the blogosphere is that it’s full of bloggers."

In other words, I wonder how many actual recruiters read recruiting blogs. Not just mine, but any of them.

There’s a lot of quality content and ideas being shared on many blogs and blog communities – a ton of helpful information that would help any recruiter do their job more efficiently and more intelligently.

But, is anyone listening?

I am the Director of HR & Recruiting of a technology/financial services firm and this is my first attempt at reading/writing and particpating in any sort of blog as my employer’s request. I guess I am listening but it appears that you need spend extensive time to find the useful creative stuff.
