August 31st, 2005

As an SEO, you live for these moments ….
While doing some job search-related exploration, I came across a very different looking results page on Google. You can see the new Google look here.
You’ll notice a few things:
1. The Sponsored Links on the right side of the page are highlighted, which makes them stand out quite […]

google diving deeper into print waters

August 31st, 2005

According to a story in CNET today, Google is beginning to offer print ads to current online advertisers.

Working out this morning to the tune of Anarchy in the UK, this is the question I asked myself. I know, a tad off the beaten […]

“one google under google, for which it stands”

August 24th, 2005

The New York Times (recent investor in Indeed.com) put out a hate piece on Google today. Check it out here (free registration).
The article essentially paints Google as the market’s new Microsoft, hoarding the world’s best engineering talent, bullying media, and having an overall aura of arrogance. Can you blame them?
My favorite comment from the article […]

August 22nd, 2005

According to Reuters, both Google and Yahoo! are courting Trader Classified Media for an acquisition play.
Trader publishes 578 print guides and runs 56 Web sites with classified ads in 22 countries. Such reach and content would make either a serious player for all kinds of classified content - including jobs - on a global scale […]
