"Anti" Web sites are nothing new to the Web. One of my personal favorites, F***NationalCity.com, has been a thorn in National City Bank’s side for years – even to the point that it ranks highly on search engines for related queries.
However, until now, the anti movement has stayed pretty clear of actually paying to promote its rage, particularly in the online job search sector. Checkout what I found while doing a search for "part time jobs":
Now, as you can imagine, the competition for "part time jobs" is pretty fierce. It’s not like this guy is going after "basket weaving jobs."
Can’t imagine these niche sites are too happy about such an ad.
And how ’bout the claim: "I tried 268 part time jobs sites. 99% are scams."
No way is that true.
But whose job is it to regulate this stuff? As long as there are no trademark infringements in the ad, which there aren’t, Google typically doesn’t get involved.
I’m sure the site owner could be sued, but what job board wants to go through that trouble? Hmm, actually, the free PR might be worth it.
Either way, the Wild Wild West sure is getting wilder, isn’t it?
