monster’s view from austin, texas

September 27th, 2005

I got back from Austin, Texas recently. My parents live there, and it was part of our vacation route.
Aside from the family bonding, the 100-plus temps and the Tex-Mex delicacies, my favorite part of being in Austin is experiencing the various employment-related advertising. Obviously, Cleveland isn’t quite the hotbed of activity that is Austin, so […]

September 27th, 2005

Jobster has launched its job search engine … just in time for ERExpo in Boston.
The offering integrates the technology from recently acquired WorkZoo. The tagline is “Search for Jobs. Get referred.”

September 14th, 2005

I’m off for a little vacation time, so blogging will be minimal, if not totally absent for awhile.
Of course, while I’m gone, something super-significant will happen in the online recruitment world. It never fails.
P.S. For anyone heading to Boston for the ERExpo or the Onrec Conference in Brussels (for my European readers) in Sept. […]

Google recently launched Talk which allows users to connect online via instant message (IM). Microsoft followed with the acquisition of Teleo. And now eBay jumps in the game by purchasing well-known player Skype to the tune of $4 billion.
I’m no […]
