There are a number of vertical job search engines in the UK, some of which have been around for a few years now. Does anybody know about them? Doubt it! Are they any good - marginally; but if they don't have the marketing muscle who cares.

Until a decent business model transpires I reckon they are doomed to nothingness - I wish them well, they need more than luck!!

If you want to see probably the worst, go to www.jobs.co.uk. The search is almost as bad as the people that run it.

Joel, Don't forget to mention 1Job.co.uk The UK and Ireland Job Search Engine with over 100,000 fresh jobs each day from over 500 sources.

You keep talking about workzoo, indeed etc and other vertical search engine stuff and we have been around since December 2003!

I unfortunately cannot make it to the Onrec conference tomorrow but Joel if you'd like to talk sometime that would be great!

Europe is like America... but the sun raises earlier ;-)

I'd love to attend to the ONREC Conference in Brussels, but will not be able to travel. Been reading your blog for months, and I would have enjoyed meeting you there.

Good luck! Enjoy your trip and the conference.
