HAHAHA, I didn't know there was a "club"... I just like dazzling my clients and placing great people.

.. There's a club, too?

Are you sure they didn't send you the rejection letter earmarked for Joe Cheeseman?

Don't feel bad.... I've been rejected by the "club" as well. To me, they are the typical old boys/girls club. Doesn't matter what you have to say, whether you have something to say, or even know what you are talking about. They're not interested. As a former writer for their flagship magazine in another life, I attempted to write an article for them again. I have not only been rejected by their legal editor (not sure if she's even an editor), but absolutely and completely rebuffed, ignored, blown off, etc. (and other unkind words I won't repeat) despite the fact that the big cheese told me to call her. She thought it would be fine to get ideas from me, but is not interested in anything I have to write. To this day, I await the information she promised to send me. I won't lose sleep. Alas, I'll just have to keep writing for Thomson/West and Dow Jones. If SHRM thinks they are better than T/W and DJ, they are clearly out of touch. My suggestion to you is not to lose sleep and to focus your talents and energy elsewhere.
