Indeed continues to kick ass and take names. Checkout http://www.about.com/careers/ (nice Google PageRank of 8/10).
Granted, About.com is owned by Indeed investor The New York Times, so this was a just a matter of time. Nevertheless, this is a nice addition to Indeed’s network and growing reach.
SimplyHired and Jobster (formerly WorkZoo) better get their asses in gear.

Joel
Not in a position to post a real name, but wanted to start a dialog.
1) I like your blog and find the insight valuable
2) I do have some ?’s………specifically on ERE and companies using SEO.
*If I am companies x, y, and z and I have sales openings……….I buy “sales jobs” and other key ad words…….on Google, Yahoo and a few others……in hopes to get candidates that do searches for sales jobs……
Now, if I am the job seeker………..I see Indeed (jobs from all over), Monster (jobs from major companies) or company x, y, or z…jobs from single companies………
Do I
a) go to a market of jobs
b) go to x,y and z
Just concerned that as I look into this from the seeker side, not sure of the value….
Every key word I wanted to buy, spawned Monster links……can’t I just get the value through their spend?
I agree with your *Jobster* has to get their stuff together……..I sat in the presentation…..and was puzzled by the varying directions of their product. Passionate folks, but not sure of the value….
Thanks

OS,
Thanks for the comment. Technically, there is only one question in your text, but I’ll do my best to touch on as much as I can.
I can’t speak for all job seekers and whether they’d go directly to Monster or Indeed. That said, job seekers are much like Web searchers in general - they like relevancy.
Monster has been pinched recently by having job listings that were exposed as phishing expiditions. Aside from that, many of their results are riddled with crap jobs. Sites like Indeed are merely an aggregation of these same jobs - although they hope to intergrate more and more corporate listings.
That said, a corporate listing helps give a seekers some level of peace of mind that I think it significant.
Last point to your question of just leveraging Monster’s placement: Do you want to send users to Monster, where your competition resides and your building Monster’s brand, or have an exclusive audience and build your own company’s brand?
Hope this helps.
