Apple’s iTunes has been really bad for my marriage.
My name is Joel, and I’m a iPodoholic.
Weekly visits to the local Best Buy was bad enough back in the day, but now that I can download music at home in my pajamas effortlessly, it’s gotten me into a fair share of hot water with ‘me missus.’
I can’t stop. But if I don’t find a funding source for my aural addiction … well, I don’t want to think about the consequences.
Because of my pitiful state, I’m going to attempt to auction off advertising real estate on this blog via eBay.
Crazy? Maybe, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
I like to think I have a nice, top-notch, and growing audience of industry leaders who tune in regularly. And I like to think that might be worth something to someone. So, if you’re interested – or just curious – click here for all the turn-paging-worthy lowdown on eBay.
Bidding starts at just 99 cents … I’m hopeful promotion on my blog for an entire month is at least worth one iTunes song download.
My name is Joel. I’m an iPodoholic. Please help.

If the $$ your looking to raise with the ad space doesn’t pan out, maybe you can call TMP for that job you listed.
Most hackers get jobs at companies they penetrated,
Maybe since you have been damming Monster so long, you could jump on?

I am sure you will get some bites. what is your opinion on companies paying you for this though you post other blogs on your featured sites for free. Most blogs post other sites (blogs) for free so it is an interesting situation.
Jeremy from ensight.org put himslef up for auction about a year ago and it met with great success until Ebay let him know that he could not do it again. This however is different, the person bidding knows exactly what they are getting with your blog
OS: I am sure there are lots of companies who would pay Joel lots of $$ for his full time efforts.
And, Joel, If you think that having an add on your blog will elevate my traffic and introduce recruiting.com to a new set of eyeballs, I will start the bidding process. Let me know.

I am a fan of Joel and don’t doubt that someone would pay for his insight and higher knowledge.
I think if he took things more seriously he would be speaking at SHRM and being a “highly paid” consultant to Fortune 100 companies HR folks that need to learn the net.
This is my one nock on many of the blogs I read.
Sales 101: You are your product.
So if you come off more often than not as angry at the machine and or share much too much personal info, it has a negative effect on the perception, not reality.
Keep up the great work.

Good Points, I agree with everything you say. I would sure love to have a conversation with you. You seem to have some good insight. Is there a point in me sending an email to the one you have listed with your posts?
