There’s cur-
rently a job posting on Monster for a Vertical Markets Director, Classifieds at Google.

The goal of the position – not surprisingly – is to grow revenue opportunities in new vertical search areas associated with classifieds. Ya’ know, cars, real estate, jobs.

I find it ironic and amusing that Monster is allowing an advertisement to run for a position at Google which will aid in their own demise.

The job description states one of the duties is as follows: Representing Google at Classifieds-targeted industry events and associations.

Says to me we may actually soon see Google at SHRM, EMA, etc. trade shows and conferences? Now that would be interesting.

Also says to me that Google Base and Google Automat are progressing.
