yahoo! update very, very good to craigslist

Yahoo! search has recently gone through an update.

In search circles, this update was nothing earth shattering, but from my seat, the update was very good to Craigslist.

For many city and industry job related searches, Craig has jumped onto Page One of results where there was a failure to rank so well pre-update.

If you’re an industry and/or regionally-focused niche job board and Yahoo! sends a good deal of free, organic traffic to your site, you might want to start watching your back.

And regardless of who you are, go check your Yahoo! rankings right now to make sure there’s nothing to worry about.

Just discovered today that Career Builder is cross posting positions to Google Base. Monster and Hotjobs don’t seem to be doing this yet.
