google’s top ten initiatives for the near future

John Battelle has a nice summary of Google’s top initiatives for the near future via their recent chat with Wall Street. The ones that caught my eye are as follows (with my comments):
- Google Base Won’t Be A Large Separate Site (no surprise, but expect greater integration into Web search and AdWords.)
- Behavioral Targeting Holds More Promise Than Demographic Targeting (and more promise than PPC, haters bow down)
- Keyword Prices Should Continue to Rise (learn to fall in love with organic search results, if you haven’t already)
- Local Search is a Significant Portion of Their Business (a huge percentage of hiring is local)
None of the above should surprise Cheezheads. Just reinforce.
