With carry-on bag packed and ready, I sit in bed on a Sunday night prepared for a Monday morning flight into Washington, D.C. for the SHRM conference.

The show officially started for the masses today, but a prior engagement kept me away from the opening of the exhibit hall and Colin Powell. I really wish I could have been there today, but life happens. The next few days should be more than fulfilling, however.

The forecast for D.C. tomorrow calls for chance of rain, so I’m hopeful there will be no delays in getting into the action. Tomorrow will be a long day.
