I swear I can’t make this stuff up, people. While surfing Monster this past weekend, I noticed they were running a banner ad for MGD beer.

What’s the targeted message here?: “Hey, forget being jobless, in foreclosure and bankrupt. Have a beer with your buddy Trumpasaurus.”

I respectfully disagree.
Beer advertising is one of the largest ad categories. If Monster has a revenue stream from consumer advertising, why is running this ad any worse than beer ads during the superbowl?

As an advertising medium for Miller it’s an eyeballs and demographics game, sure why not?.?.?. For Monster, it’s only about the Benjamins, and that’s ok they need to make their numbers and keep the investors happy right? But as an employer using this medium already layered with advertising jump pages, adwords, banners etc… Why does this site exist? To help the active jobseeker population find jobs or a better beer? I’m gonna have to respectfully use my “bitter beer face” on this move… Good for Miller, Good for Monster, Does nothing for the Employer or Jobseeker…
