I’ll be the first to admit this move isn’t part of some grand masterplan.

I’ll be the first to admit that the targeting of my audience isn’t all that clear-cut.

And I’ll be the first to admit it could crash-and-burn much more easily than finding success. (Of course, that’s every new venture, isn’t it?)

But … the trend is too intriguing to stand on the sidelines. Blogs are great places to put jobs. As such, I have to see how adding job functionality to Cheezhead goes.

‘Tis better to walk the walk, right? And if nothing else, why fight the curiousity and a chance to expand one’s knowledge?

So, here we go: If you have openings that you want to put in front of Cheezhead’s audience, please visit my career center today at http://jobs.cheezhead.com.

For the forseeable future, postings are free. (I will reject bunk listings, however.)

My traffic is competitive with the best of the employment-related blogs, so says Alexa. I like to think my audience runs the gamut of recruiting, sales, marketing, executive, SEO and job board industry professionals.

The one drawback worth noting is geotargeting, or lack thereof. Jobs posted on Cheezhead are probably best if relocation is part of the equation, although it’s not a prerequisite.

Special thanks to Eric Yoon at JobThread for helping push this forward and taking away much of the risk I would have incurred if choosing to do this myself.

Should be interesting.
