‘the hot dog’

Back when dinosaurs roamed the job board landscape along with CareerMosaic, Careerpath, Monster Board and the like, I admit Online Career Center (OCC) was my favorite. (Then Monster Worldwide bought it and messed everything up, but that’s another post.)

In fact, come visit 1998 (sorta) with me for a moment.

OK, back to reality. OCC’s employees used to lovingly refer to their logo as ‘the hot dog.’ Occasionally, ‘the hot dog’ will cross my path when surfing cyberspace, but it’s rare.

That’s about to change. Thanks to Bill Warren’s new blog, prominently featuring ‘the dog’ in its header, I’ll be able to connect with my dot-com past – a far brighter-eyed, more innocent time – on a regular basis.

Thanks, Bill.
