Video

One of the things I hope to bring to the search engine optimization (SEO) industry via Oaseo’s blog is a greater connection between job seeker and employer. Video, I suspect, is a great way to do that.

I recently sat down with Sage Lewis of SageRock, a small, Akron, Ohio-based SEO firm. We talked about a few personal things and a few business things, specifically employment at his company. You can see the entire 8 minute interview here.

One of the questions I asked was Sage’s take on the future of SEO. I think his answer is worth sharing.

Just started browsing through Oaseo and the numerous video interviews there. I think you are spot on with your assertion that video is the best way to bring employers and job seekers together and ultimately achieve a familiarity that is impossible in the traditional text ad/resume submission process. Obviously, not a revolutionary approach, as it’s fairly popular already. But I like the nature of the questions posed in the full Sage Lewis interview. Gives a fairly indepth portrait of him as both a person and a potential employer/co-worker.
