yahoo add ‘jobs’ drop down to search box

Yahoo! has just added a drop down menu to its primary search box. “Jobs” is included as one of the select categories.

Selecting this option takes users to an interesting search interface.

The content and where you go from there is same old HotJobs, but you gotta give Y! props for highlighting jobs in their primary search interface. Seeing such moves, I can’t help but think HotJobs is far better positioned for the future than their counterparts who lack a Search Engine Sugar Daddy.

Just wait, I bet they start to sell the ad space on the left and right of that “search jobs” button. Which makes me then wonder are keywords, location and category the right mass terms?

Joel… Thanks for the comment and the welcome! I’ve had you on RSS for awhile, I almost left a comment back when OSU pummeled M******n and you posted the baby pic… However, I was a little blog-shy so I didn’t. Know it was appreciated. But again, thanks. (Go Browns! And Buckeyes!)
