Every so often, either a business reason or the simple need for a fresh coat of paint inspires me to update the look and feel of one of my Web sites. (Sometimes it’s both reasons.) In this case Cheezhead goes under the knife.
I know change might be tough (many of those courageous enough to say so, didn’t love the last one), but the new look isn’t too far from what preceded it. What’s different?: The tighter header gets users to the content quicker, the three-column format gives me greater flexibility and leaves more room for above-the-fold fun, and the new format lends itself to a tad friendlier SEO.
Hey, if you don’t like the new look and don’t want to ever come back, you can always get the content via RSS or straight to your e-mail inbox. Otherwise, I hope you’ll just appreciate my desire and initiative to stay fresh. And if you do dig it, cool.
