The blogosphere talks a lot about traffic.
Not a day goes by without viewing an Alexa or Hitwise graph. And I’m sure I’m not alone in getting the “So, what kind of traffic do you get?” from peeps and acquaintances.
Should site traffic be such a mystery? Maybe. But in the spirit of full disclosure and transparency, I give you Cheezhead’s traffic overview from 2006:

Sort of anticlimactic, huh? (Just when I thought I was huge in Belgium.) Granted, I’m not publishing all my data, but this is certainly more than most everyone else will divulge.
Additionally, I’ve added Cheezhead to Quantcast, so an accurate overview of my traffic can be publicly accessible. Quantcast is a competent, free service, if you want basic tracking on your site and don’t mind the public-at-large seeing you’re numbers.
In fact, I invite other sites and blogs in our space to join a third party solution like Quantcast in order for the entire community to get a better perspective on how everyone is doing. By creating a metrics consensus such as this, clearer comparisons and analysis can be made. Just Say No to smoke and mirrors metrics.

You were just hoping that you were huge in Belgium because they make such good beer there.

Fantastic figures Joel, more importantly the site has grown considerable over the last 12 months.
Something to aim for on my part, still I have nearly reached my first year in blogging and that will be something I will be proud of.
