Simply Hired is set to introduce Job-a-matic today.
The new service “connects the audiences of blogs and Web sites with the job boards, employers and recruiters that are eager to reach them.” In simple terms, it’s a plug-and-play job board for blogs and other Web sites.
The best example of a live version is Guy Kawasaki’s blog. (You’ll notice the job roll in the sidebar or click here to see the job site.)
Via press release, Simply Hired CEO Guatam Godhwani said:
… intense demand for talent is creating whole new ways for Web publishers to monetize, and we’re excited to lead the market by providing publishers with these new capabilities.
Most notably, Simply Hired has partnered with blog solution Six Apart of Typepad fame to enable their blogging customers with an easy way to add the Job-a-matic technology to their blog(s).
Additionally, Simply Hired already has an impressive catalog of “Job-a-maticians,” including Kawasaki, John Batelle and Om Malik. Less impressively – but newsworthy in my own household – Cheezhead will also be a part of the Job-a-matic network. This will replace my current provider, JobThread, and will go live soon.
And, like a Ginsu knife ad, that’s not all. Simply Hired has also brought in Feedburner to promote their new solution. Through this partnership, “Feedburner will market Job-a-matic to its network of more than 318,000 publishers. Publishers will be able to promote the paid job listings they add via Feedflare, which will include a call-to-action within content feeds that will drive readers to explore job listings.”
More information – and questions – will surely arise as time passes, but this should be a nice initial overview. Simply Hired is certainly making a bold move, and one that likely fits into a much bigger picture. (Altogether now, “MySpace Jobs.”)
I’ve reserved some time with Godhwani at the Talent Unconference to learn more about this new offering and future plans. Got a good question you’d like to ask? Feel free to send them to joel[at]cheezhead.com.

Do you know if it’s possible for these job listings to appear in the acutal search results of a job board or they’re only designed for sidebar?
