By now you’ve probably heard about the recent launch of Job-a-matic, a service that enables Web publishers - predominantly bloggers - to add job postings to their site. The offering is provided by Simply Hired. My new job board, for example, is supported by it.

I sat down with Simply Hired CEO Gautam Godhwani at the Talent Unconference to discuss the launch.

Guatam Godhwani Interview on Job-a-matic (4:00)

A couple of things Godhwani says are most interesting to me.

  1. He mentions integrating Simply Hired’s pay-per-click ads into the Job-a-matic network. I see this as potentially more profitable for publishers (and Simply Hired) than the actual postings.
  2. I’m still really intrigued at what these cats are going to do with MySpace. He mentions a to-do list of sorts with the social networking giant. I’m watching this closely.

It’s also interesting to watch the verticals all evolve in different ways. Ah, adulthood.
