A Yahoo! employee tips us off on a current test that has a “Jobs” option in the main Web search. Few users currently see this.

Yahoo! is currently rolling out the long-awaited update to its pay-per-click solution, dubbed “Panama,” so let’s put some pieces together here:
With HotJobs spidering more and more “Job Results From The Web” - meaning more and more potential pageviews - I have to imagine someone over there believes strongly that enough PPC money will come from job search vs. other verticals to warrant more exposure, thus the current test.

It seems that there is no personalization. Companies only want applicants to “go to the website” and fill out information that does not capture who one is or what they can do. Who replaced placement specialists who performed
recruitment for companies directly? As an expert, what advice do you have for older applicants to search for jobs in the new york city area?
