I recently wrote about Google adding related search queries at the foot of some search results pages.
Interestingly, actual job sites are beginning to show up as related searches. Checkout these results searching “Chicago jobs“:

Clicking on the “Career Builder” link takes users to a Google search results page for “Career Builder,” as opposed to hotlinking to their homepage. Additionally, searching for the keyphrase “jobs” reveals Jobing.com and America’s Job Bank as related searches.
It’s unclear to me why or how Google is pulling certain searches for related results, particularly when showing results for actual job sites. Why pull Jobing.com for the term “jobs,” and not Monster, for example? Stay tuned. And keep an eye on your own market(s).
