In my predictions for 2007, I said Google would exhibit at a major SHRM conference.
Check it off the list. Google’s Jason Katcher informs me that the search giant will be exhibiting at this year’s SHRM Staffing Management Conference and Expo in April. Yeah, it’s not the big-daddy-annual-conference, but for directly targeting the recruiting segment, it’s the best.
Katcher wasn’t specific about Google’s goals at the show, but they’re sure to promote AdWords and (hopefully) teach Base 101. Regardless, their mere presence is a big step at building brand awareness for Google as a friend to the recruiting process. Good move.

I posted a simple list of the recruitment/assessment related educational sessions here: http://hrtests.blogspot.com/2007/03/2007-shrm-staffing-management.html
You can find the full list of exhibitors (on a fancy map!) here: http://expocad.shrm.org/07staff.html
No sign of Google on there (yet).

Your prediction that Google would exhibit at a major HR conference already came true back in January when they signed up to exhibit at the ERE Expo!
