On March 30, Jobster touted its new MySpace profile via “We’re so MySpaced … .” I quickly joined, adding my profile to the 400-plus that were already “friends.” I was even alerted that I had made their Top 8 list from Kara, the site admin. Happy day!

So imagine my surprise when I noticed I had lost them as a friend recently. Could they be that ticked off about my recent post? I had to know, so quickly went to www.myspace.com/jobsterdotcom, the site domain.
Shockingly, the page had been deleted, saying “Invalid Friend ID. This user has either canceled their membership, or their account has been deleted.”
Hmm, wonder what happened? MySpace smackdown? Facebook smackdown? I mean, you don’t just say goodbye to 400-plus friends without a good reason. Kara?

That’s a bummer. Wanted to make sure it just wasn’t YOU they were banning. I tried to join but got the same thing. Drag.
However, I am glad you got a snapshot of her site while it still had the T-Mo ad at the top.
Nice job,
Dennis

Something is weird because as of 8am PT on Wed 4/11/07, Jason Goldberg’s blog had these as the first four links in his upper left navigation:
Post Your Jobs: It’s Free!
Free Trial: Premium Hiring Tools
Join us on Facebook
Join us on MySpace
Clicking on “Join us on MySpace” takes you to http://www.myspace.com/jobsterdotcom, the same page that you identified as being down. Seems to me that if Jobster chose to take down its MySpace page then Jason would have removed the MySpace link from his left nav. Maybe he or his tech folks haven’t gotten around to it, but that’s a pretty prominent link to overlook.
