I had originally wanted to chat with Indeed.com’s Paul Forster after hearing about their recent partnership with a handful of applicant tracking providers. However, after hearing they had begun beta-testing a pay-per-action, or PPA offering, I became doubly interested in speaking with him.

Pay particular attention to Paul’s comments regarding partnering with ATS’s, while at the same time keeping their core constituency of advertisers and content providers – job boards – happy.

He would disagree, but I think this love triangle will become a critical balancing act for Indeed to master. Accessing employer job content directly from the ATS’s, bypassing the middlemen, er, I mean the job boards, will be a key to their future success. Not easy. More than a few boards will see such moves in a wolf in sheep’s clothing light.

Oh, and the commentary on the pay-per-action stuff is cool too. Enjoy.
