Like most writers I meet, Penelope Trunk, author of the new book entitled Brazen Careerist: The New Rules for Success, is quite an interesting character.
She’s a reader of Cheezhead (she’s from Wisconsin, by the way, which may or may not have anything to do with reading this Cheezhead) and was going to be in Cleveland, so she decided to connect with me to set-up a face-to-face. I obliged. We met at the Hard Rock Cafe and in pure Sally style, she ordered a double side of Craisins and side salad. I had a beer and fried appetizer, in case you were wondering.
I hadn’t warned her about a possible podcast / interview, because I frankly didn’t know if she’d be a good interview or not, never having met her before. She was. And anytime a woman can express her affection for Victoria’s Secret on the record, it’s a good, albeit somewhat silly interview. Enjoy.
