Classified Intelligence is reporting EVP and GM of HotJobs, Dan Finnigan, is leaving the company. Click here for the full report.

And more on Yahoo in BusinessWeek:

The departed now include more people who have been with the company for six or more years of its 13-year existence–not the very top execs, but the seasoned middle managers Yahoo needs to carry out its ambitious turnaround plans…Some recent departees worry that if the company can’t soon create more excitement around its products–and its stock–the steady trickle of attrition could become a flood and include senior executives, the story says.

As a search marketer, the buzz around how bad things are at Yahoo! from a company and search perspective has been pretty deafening the past year or so. The infamous “peanut butter” memo was very revealing, for example. Therefore, I’m not surprised to hear things are continuing southbound via high-level departures. CEO Terry Semel’s dismissal can’t – and shouldn’t – be far behind.

  1. Mark Says:

Deja vu. Hilary Schneider arrives, and a few months later Dan Finnigan departs. Looks like Knight Ridder Digital part 2.
