I touched on Google’s new universal search here, but it’s basically the occurrence of verticals, such as news, creeping their way into organic search results. It’s changing how SEOs look at, well, search engine optimization.
Month in and month out, “Cheezhead” is one of my top performing keyphrases. As a result, it’s something I sorta keep my eye on.
Recently, it was interesting to see my faux Super Bowl ad make it into the Top Ten, along with a graphic and the ability to watch the video within the search results.

By standing out in a major way when compared to the text-based results, this will undoubtedly increase the number of people who watch that video for months (years?) to come, and thus (hopefully) share it with others.
The importance of video is increasing big time thanks to universal search. It’s like having a free banner ad on Google. Are you taking advantage?
Extra: See more Cheezhead videos here.

I really enjoy your site and find this post quite interesting. I didn’t know that video’s were streamed through google searches. Seems like you’ve generated lots of buzz and popularity.
Congrats!

Yes I noticed that the other day, I cannot remember for the life of me what I was searching for but I was impressed.
Still I just do not have the personality for video, unlike you of course!
