If you look past some of the corporate cheerleading and quiet demeanor, Kevin Krim, VP Product, Yahoo! HotJobs, gives an insightful glimpse into the direction of the company: more local, more social.

Interestingly, this is in contrast to CareerBuilder’s Jason Lovelace, who says his company is focused on growing international markets. If I’m reading each correctly, one wants to get bigger, while the other wants to simply get better. I particularly like Krim’s quote about there being “a lot of room for disruption” in the employment space. Do the evolution, baby.

Considering this interview and recent shake-ups at Yahoo!, losing both CEO Terry Semel and HotJobs head Dan Finnigan, Y! is one to watch.
