collegerecruiter launches facebook app

Our friends at CollegeRecruiter inform us they’ve just launched a Facebook application that enables users to access the entry level job content that resides on CR.
The move is part of Facebook’s recent F8 launch which enables anyone to add such services and offer them to users. So far, the initiative by Facebook has been a real stroke of genius, sure to start a trend.
CR also launched a MySpace profile some months ago. We’ll be sure to check-in a few months from now for a progress report and comparison.

It has only been three or four hours since the new app was announced but we’ve already got over two dozen people who have signed up to use it. Facebook makes it pretty easy to add these apps — pretty much a single click. Time will tell how much traffic and therefore ROI this drives but early indications are looking pretty positive.

You should also check out our facebook app, called Jobs, that has over 1000 users in just a few short weeks. Our app allows you to search your friend’s companies for jobs, and run keyword and location searches across a database of millions of direct employer jobs. We’ve added quick searches for entry level, summer jobs, and internships as well to help the college job seeker.
