ebay pushing kijiji to database of ebayers

I received the following e-mail last night, compliments of my eBay account:

EBay’s site says over 100 million people use it. A lot of that is in the U.S. If everyone stateside gets this e-mail, well, that’s a lot of people. Such mass, free promotion must be nice. But will it be enough to make Kijiji a player?

P.S. Not exactly sure what a kid and puppy have to do with classified advertising. But who am I to hate on kids and puppies?

I’m wondering if they send this email to you because you are not very active on ebay, or you are only a buyer ?

sending this email to the sellers database can be very risky for ebay

I once bought a piece of toast that had the image of Dennis Kucinich burned into it. Maybe that’s why I received this message.
