As an SEO, it’s always fun to come across some old school spam techniques, especially if it’s employment related. Checkout the redirect at RegisterJobs.com.

From this:

Source code.

To this:

Please don’t mirror this strategy. I’m amazed sites are still practicing this crap. It almost crosses the line of funny into sad. What’s more sad, however, may be the fact that this site is still indexed in Google, even for results on text on the entry pages. Checkout a search for VRIDDHACHALAM H O, BREESPORT, PENNVILLE, KEYMAR, BIENVILLE, PIONEER.

Listen, SEO is a competitive game. Optimizers are doing what they do, typically within the framework of what Google has established. “Don’t hate the player; hate the game” are words to help keep perspective. But stuff like invisible text, keyword stuffing and the example above are just stupid and ineffective (for the most part). And worse, they can get you kicked out of search results altogether. RegisterJobs.com is playing with fire, and will probably get burned sooner or later.

Looks like a really great site, too: they have some 60 jobs online (the most recent ones date from the 8th August 2007 and the oldest ones from 26th May 2006) and their latest site update is from 2005 (written at the page bottom)….
The site seems to me to be already dead before Goolge has even realised their SEO spamming.
    Cheers

the site command on google (site:registerjobs.com) returns the following…

    Results 1 – 10 of about 128 from registerjobs.com. (0.07 seconds)

…we should use this comment string as a countdown to their banishment.
