Want a job board on your blog, social network or ol’ fashioned Web site? There’s a new kid on the block where JobThread and Job-a-matic reside: Beyond! Job Board
According to the press release (PDF):
Unlike related offerings, Beyond! Job Board is not limited to job posting and job search options. There are a variety of resources and services available to job seekers and employers to help drive site stickiness and encourage repeat visits. Beyond! Job Board site owners can select from a variety of custom options, as well as identify a specific region or industry to create a targeted niche site, or choose to keep it general by supporting all regions and industries. The owner can also establish appropriate pricing options and track revenue earned through a variety of available reports.
Perhaps the most significant offering is the ability for publishers to collect (and sell access to?) resumes. And unlike the competition, Beyond has been around awhile and has a lot of sites in its portfolio. Their competition in this arena, however, has a healthy headstart.
Here’s a breakdown according to Beyond:

CEO Rich Milgram says, “By offering this software, we can encourage growth of these online communities and social networking sites, while at the same time expand our presence in the niche job board market. Together, we can provide employers with the alternatives they seek from the traditional job board model.”
Good thing too … the number of “alternatives” was getting a little light.

Great article. The question I keep asking myself is when is the proliferation of job board stops. These sites keep mushroom every blog site you turn to.
Please share your thoughts.
