microsoft, yahoo! not giving up on online classifieds

Though Google may be giving up on Base, its competitors are showing new signs of upping their exposure of online classifieds, jobs online.

A revamped MSN Live search has a drop-down menu highlighting Classifieds after doing a search. This takes users to Expo.

Likewise, Yahoo! looks to have officially added Jobs as a drop-down to their main search, which takes users to HotJobs content. They had been testing this option since last year.

So does Google know something the others don’t? Or vice versa?
