Among the new breed of job sites hoping to eHarmonize the recruiting industry and make connecting the perfect candidate to the perfect employer more a matter of technology than old school resume sifting, Climber has been impressive.
Don’t just take my word for it. Nielson says they’re already a Top Ten job site in terms of traffic. Granted, they’ve gone national – while the immediate competition has mostly chosen to grow in market-to-market fashion – but for such a young site the accomplishments to date are nothing to ignore.
Additionally, they haven’t been afraid to spend money and brand themselves and their animated, pink-haired vixen intelligently, as you’ll learn more about from my recent interview with CEO Mike O’Brien:

I was excited to see this because I just heard someone else talking about Climber. however, my experience just trying to set up an account was not great. I kept getting responses that made no sense – like:
2 errors prohibited this account from being created
* Salt has already been taken
* User can’t be blank
I didn’t see a filed called User (perhaps i need glasses more quickly than I thought). Also, I don’t understand the first bullet – and, it appeared multiple times. Salt was not the password I was trying establish????
Also, why do you need to know my gender?
I’ll try again when not on the road on a mac perhaps??

You appear to be trying to create a Climber user account. We capture gender to understand the demographics of our site.
If you are a recruiter you can create a recruiter account at http://www.climber.com/corporate.
Cheers,
Mike
