perez hilton, youtube help fill jobs at citigroup

Hats off to Citigroup for leveraging YouTube’s new advertising platform for recruiting. In this example, they’re targeting the viewers of Perez Hilton content (so, no, they’re not looking for rocket scientists).

If you’re not familiar with YouTube’s new ad format, I’ll point you to a family-friendly example here. You’ll notice a pop-up during the video, as well as a banner ad on the right, just like in the Perezilicious example above.

To my knowledge, such advertising on YouTube is in beta and not open to the masses, which basically means their sales reps are selling to larger companies for the time being. However, I have to imagine a day when this Google property simplifies the process to self-serve for both advertiser and publisher.

Until then, just make your own employment branding videos.
