I set out in 1997 to meet the leaders of the online recruiting industry. Calls were accepted and meetings set with K. Wheeler, J. Sullivan and J. Sumser. All listened (a little), shared opinions (a lot) and remain friends to this day. Establishing relationships like these is clearly one of the joys of the recruiting space.

There are a number of leaders who write on our industry. Certainly our host Joel has become one of the writers to read and watch, along with Jason Davis the pioneer behind Recruiting.com and his current blog Recruiting Blogs.com.

Of all the writers / bloggers out there I have always been impressed with the daily content from John Sumser. For over ten years John has shared his thoughts and opinions on the recruiting industry.

His writings have made some mad, some glad and left some scratching their heads. Never boring and many times thought provoking, reading John every morning has been my daily start for a long time.

John has moved from his traditional site Interbiznet and I have watched as John has begun to write at Recruiting.com . I don’t know why John moved and don’t really care. I do see the writings at Interbiznet continue and hope they provide value. But I miss reading Sumser, maybe you do too so I’m pointing out where to find him.

John has moved on and is writing daily and exclusively (for now) at Recruiting.com. So I still get my daily dose of Sumser with my cup of coffee - just from a new source.

Some know that John and I have been friends for a long time and some may say we comprise a mutual admiration society. We may, though we both have taken each other to task in the past for our thoughts and will do so again in the future. Arguing with John stimulates, ask anyone who has had the pleasure.

We get good stuff here at Cheezhead and if you want more check out Sumser at Recruiting.com.

Best of luck John.
