A recent comment caught my attention:

… rumor has it CareerBuilder has locked down Facebook as an exclusive partner.

The comment was left anonymously. However, the IP address was CareerBuilder’s. As a result, there is some weight behind this.

One to watch.

Exclusive to what…is the question. With all the job board apps on there is it really exclusive? Ive also seen skyscraper ads from Monster and Jobfox over the past few days. Rememebr Jobster once claimed ‘exclusivity’ but we all know how that turned out.

  2. Joel Cheesman Says:

My guess is this will be Facebook’s presence on CB, not the other way around.

  3. Chrisr Says:

    Ah, thanks for the enlightenment.

    Hey Joel,

We recently had a CB presentation at our company trying to have us sign a contract with them and they told me then (2 weeks ago) that they were finalizing plans to launch FB with their site and it would running very soon.

  5. Mr Obvious Says:

Its just the implementation of their Beacon ad platform (allowing people to send notes to their facebook page when they take actions on cb.com) and nothing more… a bunch of websites have already implemented Beacon and there’s nothing exclusive about it.

  6. Brandon Says:

So, just the association will draw more students and recent college grads? will the facebook presence just be on the cbcampus site?

  7. Anonymous Says:

you all are wrong… (minus the guy that had the presentation) CareerBuilder will be able to sell advertising on Facebook… think about it this way, Microsoft buys 5% of Facebook and 5% of CB… makes sence that the two companies then unite :)

  8. Silence Says:

    Yes, it is very true.

    Deal was signed today!
