Controversial start-up NotchUp is doing pretty well according to a recent e-mail blast sent to users.

To date, over 1,000 companies have contacted us about using NotchUp to recruit – everyone from Fortune 500 companies and some of the biggest names in the technology field to a variety of hot startups.

Conservatively assuming an average of $100 per interview and you can start doing your own calculations. The company will roll out their corporate pilot program and start letting in additional companies on Feb. 15. They plan on officially launching their beta product in March.

1,000 conversations with potential clients does not necessarily mean that they are doing well. A better indicator would be how many of those became paying clients.

I agree and I also have to wonder how many of the 1,000 inquiries are from people like me who have repeatedly emailed them to ask to be removed from their mailing list.
