Those of you who were dot-com’ing in the ’90s probably remember The Industry Standard, a magazine about all things Web. The publication folded when the bubble burst, even after being as thick as a Sears catalog with advertising at its zenith.

Well, the brand is back. This time ’round in an online-only format.

USA Today covers the relaunch saying, “It goes live … with a staff of four, along with about 50 outside contributors and bloggers, some of whom worked for the original Standard.”

I’m fortunate enough to be one of those guest contributors and will be writing on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future. My first post, Search engines getting a dose of humanity, went live earlier today.

I’m not sure how many people in the recruiting industry now were around to know what a big deal The Industry Standard was back in the day. Very cool – congratulations on the new gig!
