Oodle, a vertical search engine for all things classifieds, is now powering the classifieds section of Monster.com-owned Military.com - except jobs, of course, which is Monster’s baby.

This probably means nothing, but it just feels sorta weird.

Is this a test run that may lead to all kinds of classifieds on Monster down the road? Could this plug into the Affinity Labs technology Monster just acquired? Is Oodle an acquisition target?

Adding all classifieds to a job site isn’t much of a stretch. It may not be a smart move, but it’s not a stretch. Think of all the extra ad revenue? Hmm, yeah, probably nothing, but I think this is one to watch anyway.
