EmploymentGuide.com has redesigned their Web site.

According to a company press release:

The redesigned homepage features clearly defined navigation buttons and enlarged ad space. The application process has streamlined, shrinking the average job seeker application time from 20 minutes to seven. The expanded video center will house Employment Guide videos, as well as industry-specific, local, education and recruitment videos.

It’s an improvement visually, but the question will be its usability. There’s a lot going on that may be overload for many users. The homepage emphasis on employment branding video is an interesting move, that seems to be growing popularity with other boards.

Said vice president and general manager Jeff Littlejohn, “The new video center and streamlined application process simplify the job seeker experience. The combination of videos with job postings allows employers to better tell their company story. It also allows job applicants to pre-screen themselves, improving the response quality for the employer.”
