Simply Hired – who we haven’t talked about in awhile – is now integrating LinkedIn contact information into its job search. Just click the blue “in” icon.

SimplyHired

Says Sachin Shah, Simply Hired’s director of product management:

As you know, we always had a ‘Who Do I Know’ link which would take you off to LinkedIn’s site, and show you your connections at that company. But with LinkedIn’s API, we now display the connection information directly on our site. The user simply has to click on the company name. (A one-time authentication provides the connection.)

The degrees of separation can run relatively deep, so the usefulness of this new offering is obviously dependent on the strength of one’s own network. Nevertheless, this is a nice sign-of-life that many Simply Hired users will no doubt find beneficial.

    This is cool…

I think they should integrate Jigsaw or Spoke or zoominfo data and should create a
“Who Should I Know” button to help the job seeker in their job search as well. Help them get “around HR” and send their resume directly to the Hiring Manager as well.
