We learned last night that Indeed.com has added video to many of its company profile pages. Checkout American Express and its subsequent video page.
The lion’s share of content is taken from Jobing, which, according to Rony Kahan, cofounder of Indeed, has “a lot of videos.” And with Jobing’s embed code, their videos are easily added. Apparently similar offerings like CareerTV and Monster’s Mad Dash-created videos aren’t as share-friendly.
Registered users can also add videos directly into Indeed from the profile pages, similar to adding videos on YouTube. We unfortunately don’t have an example to share at this time.

This makes sense, it seems like a no brainer, although I don’t see it doing much for Indeed’s business.
Not totally on topic, but I find it astounding that American Express is investing in online recruiting videos when navigating their careers site (especially the campus recruitment section) is like banging your head against the wall. They also appear to have turned a blind eye to SEO on their careers site. Shouldn’t user experience come before things like video?

Ironically virtually none of the Sr. folks featured in the Monster spot are with the company any more. EB, MS, VG all gone.

Hi, I’ve just finished my new vertical job search engine JobGeni http://www.jobgeni.com that runs on Google AJAX Feed API. It’s pulls the data from several major jobsites like indeed, simplyhired, yahoo hotjobs, monster and jobster.
